Frogs have semi-permeable skin, so they need to live in a wet environment. This isn’t always a lake or a pond, it could be just a humid area, or one that gets a lot of rainfall. All frogs start out as tadpoles, however, and live in the water while they develop. For that reason, frogs always lay their eggs in lakes, ponds, or puddles.
