Additional details (optional)
It depends on the species of turtle. If you found a wild turtle outside and are asking how to feed it, do the right thing, and put it back outside. It does not belong in captivity with you. Now, if you want to know what turtles eat while they’re out in their natural environment, you’d need to know what species and age you’re talking about. Box turtles are omnivorous, eating many insects and plant material, although they do not consume green vegetation. Snapping turtles are also omnivorous, but they are important predators in aquatic ecosystems–thus more of their diet is made up of aquatic animals.
