Like all birds Toucans use their beaks for eating, picking fruit, getting things out of holes in trees ect. Scientists believe the reason it evolved was for thermoregulation purposes. Toucans have no sexual dimorphism and therefore it is not believed that the bill has anything to do with sexual displays.
