    The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is a government agency focused on the conditions and behavior of the oceans and the atmosphere. They keep us informed about the weather, fishing, and aid with costal restoration.

    The NOAA encompasses the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, Ocean Service, National Weather Service, Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, and Office of Program Planning and Integration.

    This is the NOAA’s mission statement:

    To understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans, and coasts, 
    To share that knowledge and information with others, and 
    To conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.”
