What does the new EPA law do to reduce water pollution from construction sites?

Basically, the new regulations are preventing erosion at construction sites. Since many jobs in sites, such as clearing, excavating and grading, disturb the surrounding sediment and soil, the EPA is trying to reduce the amount of this waste that ends up in storm drains and in drinking water.

Over the next four to five year, the regulations become stricter when it comes to water waste at construction sites. For more information, and the actual wording of the new regulations, I suggest you go to this website: http://www.epa.gov/waterscience/guide/construction/
