What does melatonin do for your body?

    It makes you sleepy (which regulates your sleep/wake cycle), it is also a powerful anti-oxidant, and has been shown to help with learning and memory.  It’s a powerful hormone, and new applications and purposes that it has are often being researched.  Check out the links for more details!

    Melatonin is a hormone that helps control your sleep cycles.  Melatonin in pill form is used for sleeping disorders as well as re-orienting oneself to a new time zone.  It is not healthy to take melatonin merely as a sleeping aid (Valerian root is much better for this), because it will mess with your cycles.  Also, a lot of people feel ill and disoriented if they take melatonin consecutively.
