John McCain has openly acknowledge that climate change is real and taking place now, and has taken a number of actions to stand against it. McCain offers his occassional support to environmental protection bills that offer tax cuts to energy efficient businesses and focus on increasing America’s fuel efficiency. He and Senator Joe Lieberman also introduced the Climate Stewardship Act, the first climate bill, which proposed a carbon cap-and-trade system in 2003.
