what does the galbladder do?

Your gall bladder is where bile is stored. Bile is produced by the liver and helps break down lipids (fats). Some people have to have their gall bladder removed because it becomes infected. This is a relatively quick surgery and usually abdomenally pain following eating subsides once the gall bladder has been removed.

The purpose of the gall bladder is to collect and store bile from the activities of the liver then release it at the appropriate time into the small intestine. Check out the link for more information .
