What does climate funding for poor nations do?

Climate funding for poor nations helps them plan how they will deal with the effects of global warming more effectively. Climate funding appears to be a type of compensation for the pollution caused by more industrialized (i.e. richer) countries. Poor nations will suffer the effects of global warming whether or not they contributed to emissions in the first place. This type of funding is at least an attempt at a means for all countries to reconcile with changing environmental conditions.
