What does the California Energy Commission do?

    The California Energy Commission serves a number of functions, including monitoring energy consumption and predicting future energy needs, setting standards of energy efficiency for appliances and buildings, promoting research and implementation of green energy options, and handling energy emergencies.  The CEC is also actively engaged in fighting climate change by establishing standards of efficiency and promoting the development of clean energy sources and clean transportation.

    3. Maintains public relations about energy efficient technology and programs.
