The Bureau of Land Management oversees the stocks of natural resources in the U.S. and things that happen on the land (to generalize). This consists of managing energy resources (like coordinating solar power and wind power) to regulating fire measures.

The Bureau of Land management, or the BLM has many jobs under the main umbrella of managing natural resources. They do things like sell grazing and mining permits for areas of federally owned land, and run the system of national public lands.
