I think that the biggest problem is consumption. The horrible part is that few people are willing to make the necessary adjustments to their lifestyle to make a difference.
Something as simple as making sure your showers don’t last more than 10 minutes, turning off the lights when you’re not in a room, turning off and unplugging electronics when you’re not using them, using public transit and walking or biking instead of always driving your car… all of these take away from the comfort people have become accustomed to and I’m afraid that the majority may not be willing to give them up.
