Hydrology is the study of both the earth’s natural water cycle, and how humans interact with that cycle. Hydrologists work to solve water-related problems, including quality, quantity, and availability. And engineering hydrologist is the same as a water resources engineer, and works on various aspects of managing water resources.

If you were to study hydrology, you would be learning about the movement, distribution, and properties of water here on earth and possibly on other planets.  Hydrologists also study the water cycle, which is the process by which water is purified through evaporation, then transported to the atmosphere before returning to the earth’s surface through precipitation.
