Distilled water can be made at home, by means of a very old and well understood process. First, it must be understood that when water boils, it moves from the liquid phase to the gas phase. If whatever needs to be removed from the water moves to the gaseous phase at a higher temperature than water does, then the water will be pure in the gaseous phase.
