There are many products made out of bark.  Cork is made from the bark of the cork oak.  Cinnamon, aspirin and quinine are also bark products.  Some bark is also edible, such as pine.

The bark of birch trees is often used in home decor products such as candles. It has also been used in herbal medicine. A study on the ingredient betulin, which is found in birch bark, found a variety of metabolic benefits with its use in mice, including lowered cholesterol, prevention of diet-induced obesity, and improved insulin sensitivity.

Cork bark is used in wine corks as well as flooring. Paper is also made from tree bark, as is aspirin (with the ingredient salicylic acid, which is found in bark). Cinnamon sticks come from tree bark as well.
