Climate refugees are people forced from their homes because of the threat of climate change. Most often, rising sea levels threaten to engulf coastal communities. Climate refugees should be offered homes nearby, with government subsidies so they can live in good conditions, rather than slums. Of course, much effort should also be given to halting climate change in the first place to decrease the number of climate refugees.
