What do we do every day that effects our drinking water?

Urinate. Everyday people pee into the sewage system. In that urine there are traces of various pharmaceuticals and hormone therapies. This water after going through a treatment plant can be converted back to drinking water. Traces of these drugs can sometimes be found in the drinking water; especially in large cities. Therefore we may be drinking drugs that we did not intend to. The EPA has yet to acknowledge this problem, currently water is not normally tested for pharmaceuticals.
