Different species of sea turtles have varying diets. The loggerhead sea turtle eat crabs, smaller animals living in reefs, and mollusks. They are a common sea turtle found in Florida and can weigh anywhere from 250 to 400 pounds. Unfortunately many species of sea turtles are facing problems caused by pollution, loss of nesting grounds, and can get caught and drown in fishing nets. Some sea turtles eat jellyfish and can easily mistake balloons for jellyfish which they consume and then die due to starvation since their body is telling them they are full while in fact they only consumed plastic.
