Earth’s carrying capacity varies with technological breakthroughs and the amount of resources used by individuals. In the article I’ve referenced, it is estimated that 13.1 TW usage is the amount the earth can sustain. Today it is estimated we are headed towards 90 TW. Therefore, yes we’ve reached the maximum sustainable population for earth within the last century, and continue to deplete our resources everyday.
