Due to their extreme rareness and nocturnal behaviors, scientists are unsure of many facts regarding the long-eared Jerboas. However, scientists can conjecture that like many other small rodents, it feeds mostly on seeds, fruits and other scraps of organic matter it forages for on the grounds of Chinese and Mongolian deserts.
The long-eared jerboa is a very tiny, and extremely rare creature. It has not been studied or observed extensively, and not much is known about it’s diet. However it is thought to eat mostly insects, which is different from other jerboas who have a diet consisting of fruit and nuts. They are nocturnal and search for food during the night, spending their days in a small burrow they have created. They are currently on the List of Threatened Species.
