What do Kangaroos do for shelter?

The big, open-land kangaroo species you’re probably talking about — the red and gray kangaroos of Australia, use whatever shade (from trees or outcrops or shrubs, etc.) is available during the day. They are mainly nocturnal and crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) to avoid the extreme heat of day. They remain inactive in the shade during the hotter parts of the day for shelter, but they don’t build any structures for shelter — no dens or anything.
