What do plants do to help clean our air?

One thing that all plants do is take carbon dioxide out of the air. The process of photosynthesis that plants use to produce energy uses sunlight and carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. Conversely we, and all other animals, need oxygen to live and produce carbon dioxide. With out plants, and other microscopic organisms that perform photosynthesis, the Earth would be unlivable. Certain plants also clean of noxious chemicals out of the air, check the link below for a list of the top ten air cleaning plants.
