What do giant squid eat?

  1. 0 Votes

Giant/colossal squid (species architeuthis dux) feed on deep sea species, including fish and other squid. They feed with their two feeding tentacles, which have sucker rings that are used to reign in prey and bring to their teethed mouths. Giant squid themselves are preyed upon by sperm whales, and juveniles can be a meal for deep sea sharks and large fish.

They mostly feed on smaller squid that also inhabit the deep ocean.
