What do farmers do with their old corn plants after they have harvested them?

    It looks like a few farmers actually use the old corn for cow food.

    After the weather gets cold, most corn plants won’t survive, so the plants you see wind up in the dairy food supply, if anything. Occasionally, they may be ground up and used as compost, but it seems like dairy cow feed is the primary use.
