Obtains food by?
The main food that elephants will eat in the wild is grass or leaves, but if the weather is bad they will eat whatever vegetation is available. They will knock over trees to get at leaves and bark. They will use their tusks to dig up roots. They have also been known to eat flowers, wild fruits, shrubs, twigs, bamboo, and bananas.
Elephants in the wild can eat between 300 to 500 pounds of vegetation a day. The type of vegetation includes bark, twigs, leaves, loose fruits, shoots, tall grass. Hope this helps!
