What do ecologists do?

Ecologists study the relationships between plants, animals, and their environments. They also teach others to understand and appreciate the natural world we live in and depend on. Currently, there is no college degree required to do this line of work at a nature center, zoo, or summer camp. However, a degree is required for those ecologists that wish to teach classes in a public learning instituion (Gibbons, 2008).
