Chinese water dragons will eat mealworms, crickets, waxworms, earthworms, grasshoppers, butterworms, locusts, and even smaller feeder fish. Chinese water dragons eat a variety of things, including crickets, mealworms, king mealworms, waxworms, earthworms, grasshoppers, butterworms, locusts, feeder fish, pinkies and fuzzies. Some other sources say that they also eat fruit and vegetables, but they should not constitute more than 10 to 15 percent of a chinese water dragon’s diet.
Water dragons tend to become quite picky, and may even stop eating if they are fed the same foods consistently.
