Recently, a number of celebrities campaigned and showed their support for the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.  Some of the names included Leonardo DiCaprio, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Cate Blanchett, and Sting.  Leonardo DiCaprio has been quoted as having said that climate change is the single most important environmental issue facing us today.  Thom Yorke has criticized the music industry’s unsustainable use of air transport, and for their 2008 tour chose transport methods and venues that would reduce their carbon emission.  They also used LED lights in their shows.  Cate Blanchett actually showed up in Copenhagen to urge business leaders to increase their sustainable practices and decrease their carbon emissions.
