Brown bears are omnivorous, which means that they eat both plants and animals. Usually, they eat vegetation: “grasses, sedges, bulbs, and roots.” On the animal side of things, brown bears eat different species of insect, fish, and small mammals. Sometimes, they’ll go after larger mammals such as moose and elk.
