What is displaced wind energy?

Displaced wind energy is energy harnessed from what you might call “waste wind” – wind produced from subways or trains.  So far displaced wind energy has been captured by a device called the T-box.  T-Boxes with turbines are placed along tracks and powered to generate electricity when a train or subway car passes by.  This is a relatively new technology showcased in Taiwan in 2010 by two designers.
