Both diesel and gasoline cars have harmful emissions of greenhouse gases, but there are a few main differences. Diesel fuel uses sulfur, which gasoline does not. In addition, diesel fuel emits particulate matter which can cause harm when inhaled. The quantity of emissions from diesels, however, are generally lower thanks to the slight edge it possesses in efficiency.
