What difference would it make if everyone went vegan?

Well a good deal of the population would not be getting their proper intake of protein and other meat base substances. The meat industry would collapse, creating a fairly large hole to fill in the economy, but vegetable and fruit farming would have to boom quickly. The fair treatment of animals would be almost a guarantee, since we would no longer be eating them, we could use animals to help restore the environment. There would be a lot less methane pollution, much of which comes from cattle ranches. On a personal note, I would miss chicken, but I do like cooking with tofu.
