What is the difference in nutrition between elk meat and venison?

Venison, or deer meat, is fairly low in fat and calories, especially when compared with beef. It is a good source of protein, iron, and zinc. Elk meat is also a great source of protein and zinc, and also has a lot of B12 vitamin, phosphorus, and is low in sodium. Unfortunately, it is also high in saturated fat and cholesterol, has slightly more calories than venison (not a significant amount), and has more than three times the amount of total fat.
