Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or products into new materials or products of equal or better quality, thus reducing the need for new raw materials. This is the opposite of downcycling (or recycling), which converts or extracts useful materials from a product and creates a different product or material, usually of lesser quality.
Upcycling refers to the method of turning industrial nutrient into something of similar or greater condition. Recycling means reclaiming material from used products and using this material to manufacture new products.
