What is difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes?

Good question, Vladilen.  Both types have to do with a problem with the hormone found in our bodies called insulin.  Insulin is a very important part of our metabolism because it allows our body to use sugar as energy.  Type 1 diabetics are not able to produce enough insulin and can be treated by taking insulin injections.  Type 2 diabetics produce insulin, but it is not as efficient at moving sugar out of the bloodstream.  Type 2 can be treated through diet, exercise, weight loss, medication, and sometimes insulin injections.

    Hope this helps!
