What is the difference between smart growth and new urbanism?

The Smart Growth movement focuses largely on community health, and includes the following principles: create walkable neighborhoods, encourage community collaboration, make development decisions fair and cost effective, mix land uses, provide a variety of transportation choices, and preserve open space and critical environmental areas. New Urbanism has the same priorities as Smart Growth, but is even more focused on finding sustainable solutions for peak oil and climate change.
