Well one difference is that reptiles lay hard-shell eggs and are usually buried, Amphibians lay say soft eggs and they are usually laid underwater.
Amphibians have smooth skin, while reptiles have scales, or plates.
Also when reptiles are born they are miniature replicas of the adult. (A baby alligator just looks like a small alligator) Amphibians go through stages (A frog starts off as a tadpole and so on)
