Regular dry cleaning facilites use a chemical called perchloroethylene that is hazardous to humans and the environment. Most environmentally friendly “dry cleaning” actually isn’t all dry…they use pressurized liquid CO2 instead. No new CO2 is being created, since companies that make this liquid CO2 take the by-product of processes that do produce it.
The ones that are environmentally friendly use less chemicals.
