Particle pollution is usually local, like smog or air pollution from a factory near by. Ozone pollution is world wide and is caused mostly by the burning of fossil fuels and carbon emissions. As far as which is worse for your health, it depends. Ozone pollution is linked to global warming which is depleting the ozone layer and cause a rise in temperatures etc. If your city is affected my particle pollution you could probably say that it is more harmful because you breath in that air every day. Particle pollution can cause lung problems and has lead to 18,000 deaths in California alone annually.
