What is the difference between geothermal energy and tidal energy?

    Geothermal energy is energy gathered from the heat stored in the Eath. Tidal energy is extracted from the energy of the tides.

    Geothermal energy is the generation of energy from the earth heating pressurized water underground. Tidal energy is electricity generated by the coming in and going out of the tide. Both utilize water and natural processes to create renewable energy, but they are very different methods of generation.
