What is the difference between DNA and RNA?

    DNA is an abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid. It is comprised of 4 component base pairs, adenine, cytosine, thymine and guanine. DNA supplies the blueprint from which living materials are made. RNA is an abbreviation for ribonucleic acid. Its component parts are adenine, cytosine, thymine and uracil. RNA is primarily the working component that takes its cue on what function to perform based on the instructions given it by the cell’s DNA.
