The difference between carbon tax and a carbon credit is carbon tax charges you for your emissions, where as a carbon credit deducts, or “credits” you for your effort and contribution of your carbon offsets such as a recent addition of solar pannels, or switching to a hybrid or electric car in which your co2 emissions have been lessened.
