What did the UK do at Copenhagen?

The Copenhagen talks were pretty much a disappointment to all except those who still refuse to believe the science. The UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced today that he believes an agreement can still be struck at October’s meeting in Mexico, and has pledged to work toward this goal over the next few months. The UK and the other major world powers simply agreed at Copenhagen to accept a global temperature of two degrees Celsius over that during pre-industrial times as a “threshold” for dangerous climate changes, but failed to come up with any methods to avoid reaching this threshold.
