He traveled from France to Japan on a solar powered electric bicycle. The bike towed two solar panels that help him take a break from peddling.
Florian Bailly recently got attention for riding from France to Japan on a solar-powered bike. This journey was 10,000 kilometers long and he passed through 12 countries and two continents along the way. This bike allowed him to ride 120 kilometers a day in contrast to the typical 80 kilometers a day, allowing him to complete his journey in four months as opposed to six months. He hopes his journey has proven the viability of solar-powered bikes as a mode of transportation.
