A dark matter is a type of matter that has a large part of mass in the universe. It emits not light or other raditation and cannot be directly seen with a telescope. Dark matter is presumed to constitute 83% of the matter in the universe and 23% of the mass-energy. Dark mass has been known to expand in the universe for about a couple of years now.
