Well, it all depends on how you define a green job. Being an electrician can be defined as such a job–if you are wiring a solar panel/wind turbine etc. Also you should know that risk and reward is generally the guiding factor in how much of a salary you expect to gain from that job. The lower the risk, the lower everything else connected to that job will be. If your primary concern happens to be job security, then the public sector should be at the head of the list of places to search. Then again–the public sector tends to be pretty stilted in its rewarding of excellence. And the crashing economy seems to indicate an ever decreasing amount of tax revenues to fund those public sector jobs.
