What is the cultural and religious legacy of the Gandhara civilization?

    The Gandhara civilization is known for the influence it got from the greeks. It’s school of art is known as the Greco or Roman-Buddhist school of art. There are many prominent pieces that are in galleries all over the world, but the most famous is the sculpture of the fasting buddha in the Lahore Museum, in Lahore, Pakistan. As far as it’s religious legacy, the area was conquered quite frequently. First Iran, then India gained control urging Buddhism, then in the 7th century Islam came to the area before it was finally destroyed by the white huns, and Hephthalites.
