If you are going by country eats the most, and is therefore the fattest, then surprisingly, America is not first. In fact it is the country of Nauru, found in the South Pacific, which has 94.5% of their population (ages 15 and up) considered overweight, or when their body mass index is on the obese scale (30+). The US, however, is not that far behind in 9th place, with 74.1% of the population considered overweight.
