Mt. Baker, in Washington State, USA, holds the record for most seasonal snowfall ever — 1,140 inches. If you’ve ever been to the slopes at Mt. Baker early in the season, you’ve noticed the vertigo-inducing height of the chairs on its lifts to accomodate so much snow. It dethroned Mt. Rainier (also in Washington), the highest mountain in the Cascade Range, a decade ago. It is difficult to measure which country has the highest average, since most countries have a range of climates.
