Yes, Iceland is the closest to becoming the first green energy country. But Germany is expanding rapidly and is projected to become the first major industrial country to be powered by renewable energy sources by 2050. The rate of Germany’s expanding is probably the largest in the world today. By the way Iceland’s population is 316 000, while Germany’s is 82 million.
